Z końcem maja konsorcjum w składzie Grupa Azoty Polskie Konsorcjum Chemiczne Sp. z o.o. oraz Uniserv S.A. rozpoczęło prace budowlane związane z modernizacją Ciepłowni Kortowo w Olsztynie.
Łączna wartość kontaktu to ok. 65 mln PLN brutto. Zakończenie inwestycji zaplanowano na jesień 2021 r.

Modernizacja ma na celu dostosowanie Ciepłowni Kortowo do norm emisyjnych wynikających z Dyrektywy IED i Konkluzji BAT, w szczególności uzyskanie poprawy parametrów emitowanych spalin i ograniczenie oddziaływania ciepłowni na środowisko.
Wraz z przekazaniem placu budowy Uniserv S.A. rozpoczął prace związane z wykonaniem fundamentu pod nowy, dwupłaszczowy komin stalowy o wysokości 70 m. Zakończenie prac związanych z montażem komina planowane jest na koniec lipca b.r. Jednocześnie Uniserv S.A. rozpoczął modernizację kotła K – 3, która polega na zastąpieniu istniejącej jednostki kotłem wodnym przystosowanym do współspalania węgla i biomasy. Na kotle K-3 zostanie zabudowana instalacja odazotowania SNCR.
W ramach realizacji zadania Konsorcjum wykona m.in. modernizację kotła K-3, dostawę i montaż komina, montaż instalacji odsiarczania i odpylania spalin dla kotłów K-1, K-2, K-3, instalacji odazotowania w technologii SNCR dla każdego z kotłów K-2 i K-3, montaż systemów ciągłego monitoringu pomiaru emisji spalin na kanałach dolotowych do komina, rozbiórkę istniejącego komina o wysokości 120 m oraz pozostałe instalacje towarzyszące.
Zadanie inwestycyjne jest realizowane w formule „pod klucz”. Na wykonawcy spoczywa obowiązek uzyskania wszelkich niezbędnych do realizacji pozwoleń, opracowanie dokumentacji wykonawczej i powykonawczej, wykonanie prac budowlanych, montażowych, demontażowych i rozbiórkowych, dostarczenie niezbędnych materiałów, części zamiennych, aparatury, instalacji i urządzeń oraz rozruch i ruch próbny instalacji.
Mimo konieczności modyfikacji harmonogramu realizacji – związanej z sytuacją epidemiczną i wydłużonym oczekiwaniem na wydanie decyzji administracyjnych – termin ukończenia inwestycji, zaplanowany na październik 2021 r., jest bezpieczny.
