Ponad 10 mln zł pozyskał Uniserv S.A. w ramach spółki celowej EKOGAZ Recovery z Narodowego Centrum Badań i Rozwoju na realizację pilotażowego projektu.
– Innowacyjna technologia zgazowania RDF w reaktorze z cyrkulującym złożem fluidalnym, to nie tylko szansa na produkcję taniej energii i ciepła, bez udziału paliw kopalnych, ale także ekologiczne rozwiązanie problemu niezagospodarowanych milionów ton frakcji palnej odpadów – przekonuje Artur Nizioł – Przewodniczący Rady Nadzorczej i główny akcjonariusz Uniserv SA.
Wdrożenie technologii, dedykowanej małym i średnim jednostkom energetycznym o mocy od 2 do 30 MW, pozwoli na produkcję ciepła i prądu w kogeneracji, a tym samym ułatwi przedsiębiorstwom ciepłowniczym uzyskanie statusu „Systemu Efektywnego Energetycznie”, otwierając dostęp do środków unijnych. Dla branży przetwarzającej odpady (popularnych MBP – ów) to szansa rozwiązania problemu nadpodaży paliw alternatywnych i ich energetycznego oraz ekologicznego zagospodarowania. Dla środowiska to droga do złagodzenia zmian klimatycznych.
RDF – palący problem
Jedną z największych bolączek, z jakimi boryka się obecnie branża gospodarki odpadami, jest problem zagospodarowania frakcji palnej odpadów. Według różnych szacunków w Polsce rocznie przybywa ponad 2 mln ton tych odpadów, z czego znaczna część płonie w niekontrolowany sposób. Główną zaletą pilotażowej instalacji jest możliwość energetycznego, lokalnego, bezpiecznego i ekologicznego zagospodarowania paliwa alternatywnego – RDF o kaloryczności powyżej 6 MJ/kg, którego zgodnie z polskim prawem nie wolno magazynować przez okres dłuższy niż rok. Nie ulega wątpliwości, iż w najbliższej przyszłości wciąż rosnąć będzie nie tylko ilość odpadów, ale także koszty systemu gospodarki odpadami, a co za tym idzie opłaty dla mieszkańców. Technologia EKOGAZ Recovery wpisuje się w kierunki strategiczne rozwoju Unii Europejskiej i Polski, a w szczególności w Strategię Gospodarki o Obiegu Zamkniętym będąc szansą na spełnienie wytycznych dla mniejszych jednostek energetycznych oraz zakładów oczyszczania miast.
Mniej węgla i odpadów
Celem projektu jest budowa innowacyjnej, pilotażowej instalacji umożliwiającej produkcję w kogeneracji energii elektrycznej oraz ciepła przy wykorzystaniu RDF jako surowca. Większość, bo aż 59 proc., wszystkich koncesjonowanych wytwórców ciepła w Polsce to instalacje o mocy do 50 MW. Technologia będzie dedykowana właśnie takim systemom. Wykorzystanie jej, przy obecnej podaży paliwa alternatywnego, daje możliwość rocznego wytworzenia od 28,8 do 38,4 PJ energii, co stanowi 15- 20 proc. rocznego zapotrzebowania gospodarstw domowych na ciepło systemowe.
Biorąc pod uwagę fakt, iż 72,5% paliw zużywanych w źródłach ciepła w Polsce stanowią paliwa węglowe, wdrożenie technologii umożliwiającej ekologiczne zagospodarowanie odpadów w sposób energetyczny, poprzez zgazowanie w reaktorze z cyrkulującym złożem fluidalnym, jest przełomowe. Rozwiązanie pozwoli zapewnić dostawy ciepłej wody w mniejszych instalacjach w okresie letnim (w tzw. „podstawie”), bez konieczności uruchamiania większych jednostek pracujących w oparciu o paliwo węglowe. Wdrożenie tego typu instalacji znacząco obniża emisję pyłu, CO2, SO2 oraz NOx w stosunku do tradycyjnych instalacji opartych o paliwo węglowe.
Zgazowanie odpadów w reaktorze ze złożem fluidalnym
Produkcja gazu palnego, który następnie można oczyścić i wykorzystać energetycznie będzie możliwa przy wykorzystaniu dwóch procesów tj. pirolizy i zgazowania. Technologia EKOGAZ Recovery bazuje na procesie zgazowania odpadów w reaktorze z cyrkulującym złożem fluidalnym, w którym otrzymany gaz procesowy zostanie poddany głębokiemu oczyszczeniu in- situ tj. w miejscu jego powstania, przed jego
spalaniem w kogeneracyjnej jednostce wytwórczej. Gaz powstający w opracowanej instalacji zostanie oczyszczony w takim stopniu, że przed spaleniem nie będzie stanowił już odpadu i nie spowoduje emisji wyższej niż w wyniku spalania gazu ziemnego.
Instalacja, spełniając kryteria procesu recyklingu odpadów w postaci odzysku energii elektrycznej i ciepła, poza korzyściami ekologicznymi, będzie rozwiązaniem ekonomicznym bowiem RDF, jako surowiec wykorzystywany w procesie, jest cenowo bezkonkurencyjny.
– Myśląc o kierunkach rozwoju firmy upatrujemy ich w instalacjach ochrony środowiska oraz technologiach opartych na odnawialnych źródłach energii. Jako dostawca technologii dla przemysłu i energetyki nie mamy wątpliwości, iż tendencje i oczekiwania naszych zleceniodawców będą zmierzać w tym właśnie kierunku. Wspomniane rozwiązania wdrażamy nie tylko u klientów. Właśnie zakończyliśmy budowę instalacji fotowoltaicznej 49 kWp w siedzibie firmy. W tej chwili prowadzimy zaawansowane rozmowy z partnerami zainteresowanymi wdrożeniem technologii EKOGAZ Recovery w Polsce, ale sądzimy, iż w najbliższej przyszłości nasze rozwiązanie będzie cieszyć się dużym zainteresowaniem w innych krajach. Dotacja z NCBiR otwiera nowe możliwości, ale nie jest to nasze ostatnie słowo jeżeli chodzi o projekty badawczo-rozwojowe. Uważamy, iż dywersyfikacja stwarza bezpieczną perspektywę finansową. Potwierdza to fakt, iż z końcem kwietnia br. Uniserv dokonał terminowego wykupu obligacji korporacyjnych o łącznej wartości 10 mln złotych. Spółki z Grupy Uniserv dobrze zakończyły 2019 rok, co daje stabilne podstawy do prowadzenia biznesu w czasie, który dla każdego przedsiębiorcy jest szczególnym wyzwaniem. Z uwagi na globalny zasięg pandemii byliśmy zmuszeni wstrzymać plany eksportowe, ale nie rezygnujemy i na bieżąco monitorujemy sytuację na rynkach wschodnich, przede wszystkim Ukrainy i Kazachstanu. W tej chwili kluczowe pozostaje zadbanie o bezpieczeństwo naszej załogi. Wewnątrz organizacji wdrożyliśmy rygorystyczne procedury służące zapobieganiu rozprzestrzeniania się koronawirusa Na szeroką skalę zabezpieczyliśmy środki ochrony i higieny osobistej dla naszych pracowników.
